My Thoughts - July 2026
July 2nd, 2026. 10:13 PM
Oh boy the heat is killing me.
Its been near 90 every day, and I have been invited to suffer at Shores. the back to back 12 hr shifts have been brutal. The learning has been fun, and I am having a good time. I did see Mrs O today! She was so proud to see me as a Supervisor.
I'm off tomorrow, and I plan to take some time to get my room ready for my new bed, and also continue to get transcripts made for my legacy blog section. Fun times ahead for sure.
July 3rd, 2026. 10:59 AM
I have finished archiving the 2020 vlogs and have put the transcripts onto the site. You can check out the work HERE.
While I have been transcribing the vlogs for the site, I have begun to realize that I was incredibly weird in highschool. It is a wonder how I did not become the next Chris Chan. Although as I have been rewatching or reading what I said 5+ years ago, it makes me realize how different my life was, yet how similar, it is to my current day. Also being blasted back into COVID times by revisiting the vlogs is crazy, there is so much that I forgot about that I am nostolgic to remember now.
My plan is to work on the vlogs as they come in, and I will release entire years at once. I also might redo the blog years page, idk if I want it to be newest year first or oldest year first.

Today is America 250! I worked this morning until 4, and I got to spend the evening with Nate and thier coworkers. Cedar Point did a skydiving show today, and fireworks! I got a really cool picture of Magnum XL-200 during the one skydiving show, and I think its my best photography work yet. Seeing Cedar Point all decked out for such a big day was super cool. The fireworks all around Sandusky from Cedar Point was also very cool.
Here's too another 250 years of freedom!

Rain, broken elevators, and getting sent home early. What a way to start my Sunday. It rained all morning, so they sent me home at 1pm. I am gonna work on the 2021 blog posts until my dad gets here for dinner. Fun times ahead.
July 6th, 2026. 9:36 AM
Yesterday's dinner at Bay Harbor was really good! I had the Seafood Delight Pasta, and it was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. Steph also had the pasta, and she agreed it was really good. Nate and Dad had the steak, and I tried a bite of Dad's and it was very good. The restaurant was very nice, and I liked the decor and the windows overlooking the marina.
I also finally got all the parts needed to build my new bed yesterday! I built it with Dad and Steph, and it looks very good. I like how it currently sits in the room, but I may change the layout tomorrow during my day off.
I close Shores today. I doubt I'll be out late, since it's going to be slow today. The rain yesterday has kept people away. The rain we're due to have today will continue to keep people away. It'll be fun.

Rain and showers bring...an early close at Cedar Point Shores. We closed yesterday at 1:20pm. I could have done better, my Co-Sup Tash made a list of my mistakes, but I am still learning afterall. The rain was very storng, and kinda scary. After the park was emptied of guests, Kayln and I did some work that needed done before I went home early. Several guests came up to us when we were leaving the park, asking if Shores would reopen. Sadly, we would not be opening the park again for the day.
I am still learning how to be a Supervisor. I keep making mistakes and asking questions that I feel are dumb and basic. My Co-Sups keep telling me I am learning, and its only my first week, but I disagree, I should be the best, and I should be better by now. I also miss my old area. I know its only been a week, but I miss Jaden and Madison, along with my associates. It is an adjustment for sure, but I am learning a lot by being in the waterpark.
I also have been missing some of my friends recently. I haven't seen Rhys since last year, and I haven't seen Alexis since the semester ended. While I haven't seen Taylor in about a month, our friendship isn't as good as it used to be. The disance is my fault. I made choiced that ultamitly hurt the bond I had with my friends. I'm off on my own path, in a town where most people aren't from here. I have firends out here, such as Kaylee, or Caroline, or Ronan, but they won't be here forever. Kaylee is moving to Colorado in the near future, and I will miss her. She's a good friend to have around and it sucks that our shifts never lined up when I was in A1, and now I am at Shores. I hope that we can hang out on a day when neither of us work. Caroline and Ronan, while they'll be here during the winter, will leave once we graduate in the spring. Audrey is most likely moving as well, and I just feel like I don't truly have any friends in Sandusky except for Nate. What sucks even more is the feeling of being alone is made worse during the winter, when there isn't as much to do in Sandusky.

This week I worked shores by myself, leadership wise. It was very tricky, but I managed just fine. A few mistakes here and there, but I think its alright in the end. The two long days at Shores was fun though, overall.
I haven't had time to work on transcribing the videos in a minute, but I hope to have a few done tonight. I am also very excited to head to Six Flags and Silver Dollar City next week, I leave Sunday after work.
July 11th, 2026. 9:29 PM
I am getting better at driving around Cedar Point in the Gator. It is a lot a fun driving around the park, but it was chaotic today. I spent most of my afternoon driving around associates, and grabbing things from Area One. After work Leo and I took a ride on Top Thrill 2, their first time on it.
The sunset tonight was really pretty. It made me think back on things that I had been ignoring or had forgotten about, and it was humbling. Sunsets always make me reflect. I was thinking about my friends back home again, who I haven't really had a chance to see in some time. It makes me kinda sad. There is a lot of things that are making me sad right now, and its hard to explain. One day I'd like to figure out my feelings, maybe it'll make me a more tolerable person to be around, and make me less awkward.
I am very excited to head to St Louis and Silver Dollar City tomorrow. We're leaving after work for Dayton, to get Luke and Josh, before heading westward for our trip.
July 17th, 2026. 1:41 AM
I have finally made it home from the trip. Expect updates regarding that soon.
The Canadian wildfires have also made the air extremely bad here in Sandusky, and all of northern Ohio. It got over 500AQI today in Toledo, which is really bad. The air smells bad, and the haze makes me feel sick. luckily, it should clear up soon. We got back at approx 1:30am from Missouri and the haze was so unreal, I had to grab a picture to document it. I will continue with my thoughts when I wake up, since I am so tired.
July 17th, 2026. 10:03 AM
The trip to Missouri was a great success. We rode every coaster we wanted to, with rerides, and got to see cool sites such as the Gateway Arch, and Marvel Cave. I will be writing the trip reports over the weekend when I have time.
The haze is really bad. Typically, I can see Cedar Point from my apartment, but right now it is so bad, I cannot see the park at all. The current AQI as of writing is 227, which is some of the worst I have ever encountered. I worry about Nate with this, but they insist they're fine. I suppose they probably are given they are from NorCal.
I get to see Nate again today. I have an anniversary gift for them, and I can't wait to give it to them.
July 18th, 2026. 10:38 PM
I'm worried about Nate, they have been distant lately. I hope they are ok, its beginning to stress me out.
I finished/updated some pages today. The Gas Station Trifecta and Six Flags St. Louis completed. I intend to finish the Silver Dollar City and Gateway Arch pages tomorrow.
I am really stressed out tonight. I feel alone, but I know its because I am over thinking too much of my life. I worry I am a fool, disliked, and generally not welcomed anywhere. I keep thinking back to the people I've wronged, and the people I have lost. I keep being told that I am good at things, and that I am cared for, but it is hard to believe it sometimes. I know I am not anyone's first choice, and I wish I could be, so I could feel normal.
July 19th, 2026. 7:12 PM
I saw Daisy today after work. I haven't seen her in forever. I last saw her during our trip to Kings Island, and I really missed her. Every time I see her my week gets better, I don't know how to explain it.
I don't think I have ever explained how I met Daisy. We met during our Algebra class on my first day ever at BGSU. She sat next to me, and ironically in that class Josh, and Owen were also present. Small world I guess. I looked up to her, because She presented herself as some so put together, and I just had a feeling I would be her friend. Over the course of my freshman year, we grew incredibly close, and the many adventures over the years together through many different stories, I consider her to be one of my closest friends. She has heard both the best and worst parts of me, I trust her fully.
While we hung out today we saw the Baie Comaeu steam out of the Sandusky Harbor, and I grabbed a good picture.
I am currently reworking my resume for my class. Its due Tuesday, but since I will be in Atlanta, I want to get it done tonight.
July 24th, 2026. 10:42 AM
Atlanta was really fun! I got 9 laps on ArieForce One, which brings my lifetime rides to 22. The day, overall, was really fun, and expect a detailed report soon.
During the trip, however, I royally fucked up. While in Tampa, I did something to upset Nate in a way that I genuinelly believe I lost them. Nate is my everything, and the reason I try so hard at work every day. Losing Nate would genuinely derail me, and I don't think I could continue working the same way if that happens.
July 26th, 2026. 8:14 PM
Yesterday I went to work thinking I opened...I actually closed Shores. I took the time to take a ride on Siren's Curse, TT2, Valravn, Wild Mouse, and Gatekeeper. By dumb luck, I had two notable experiences in the 2 hours I rode rides. On TT2, I got stuck on the Buffer block, before the ride even began. I got my ride, it took about 10 minutes for the ride to restart. At Gatekeeper, I ran into Caroline, who did NOT staple me into the restraint. 0/10 poor customer service. After, I had a long day at work, but it went smoothly...ish. I won't get into details, but I HATE muffleheads cabana now.
My dad and Steph came out to visit, they finally saw Audrey for the first time since I moved in. Crazy isn't it? I invited Nate to dinner, but they have been rather quiet today. It's a mix of issues I believe, but I still worry. Regardless, seeing my Dad and Steph, hanging out with Audrey, and having a smooth day at work was a good experience.
Its finally becoming that time of the summer where I have to start saying goodbye to people I have been working with for some time. Rycor's last day was yesterday, and I know Kaylee's is coming up soon. I will miss both of them a lot, especially Kaylee. The reason is simple, Rycor and I had a few evening to hang out, I haven't hung out with Kaylee. I hope I get a chance to hang out with her soon.
My international team is some of my favorite people I have worked with ever. Eric, Shaun, Vanessa, Nadesha, and Carlos are some of the best people I have ever worked with. When I see them in my rotation, I know I will have a smooth day working in Shores. Tash, my co-sup, is such a good person to work with. I do not look forward to saying goodbye to such a wonderful team, but when the time comes, I will make sure to send them all with a written letter of recommendation, just in case they ever need it.
July 28th, 2026. 1:13 PM
I am off today, which is a nice change of pace. I do have a thing at 3:30 at Cedar Point, but thats it for the day. I get to have lunch with Nate, and I am very excited for it.
Yesterday I got to see Kaylee at Shores, she came to visit. I wanted to visit as I was leaving, but I was so tired after getting out late. I also wanted to see Nate but sadly they went to sleep before I got home :(
I have been working on getting the videos transcripted, and I have finished October 2021 today. I am aiming to get the 2021 year done by the end of the week. I have also finished the Silver Dollar City, Gateway Arch, and Fun Spot Atlanta pages, bringing me up to date in terms of park reports.
Lastly, we are getting super close to the wedding, and I am very excited. It will be a fun weekend, and I get to see so many amazing people, while celebrating my Dad.
July 28th, 2026. 6:59 PM
The Boardwalk chat and lunch with Nate was very fun. I learned some important info from people in management, and I enjoyed it a lot. Afterwards, I stopped by Plaza and ran into Kaylee.
Recently, I have been coping with the fact I am incredibly weird by watching content about "lol cows." The biggest I have been following is NovaOnline and Chris Chan. When I watch videos about them, I feel better about my self. Its like when I watch hoarders when cleaning so I feel better while cleaning my apartment. I've begun to speculate that my friends mock me because I am a "lol cow" to them. This stings quite a bit, and the people who don't laugh at me are rather few and far between. perhaps I can figure out for certain what's going on.
One way I have considered "fixing" the problem is going back on my meds. Audrey didn't like me when I was on them, she says they made me too boring and quiet. But perhaps this will fix the problem of being mocked and teased. If I don't do or say anything, it is harder to be made fun of. I will continue to debate this since I struggle to actually take my meds every day.

Today was one month of working at Cedar Point Shores Waterpark as a retail supervisor! It was a long day, from 8-8, but I had a wonderful crew that made it very easy to work, minus the hornets nest in Cabana 14 (it has been delt with). My team has been wonderful, and I let them know about how much I appreciate them. I gave the entire team a high-5, since they have worked so hard and so well.
I also saw a ship sailing out of Sandusky today, the Herbert C. Jackson of the Interlake Steamship Company, bound for Detroit. I haven't really seen any other ships, minus the Baie Comaeu of Canada Steamship Lines, sail in or out of Sandusky, so seeing the Herbert C. Jackson sail out was super cool. I love seeing the ships, and one day I'd like to go to Toledo and see some ships, or the Soo Locks, but I need time off for it.
Friday I'm going to see the new Spider-Man movie with Nate and Jill. I can't believe there will finally be a 4th movie. I also plan to go to the merch dept's party tomorrow, it will be fun.
July 31st, 2026. 11:15 AM
Yesterday was a long day for me, being on point from 7:45am to 1am. I worked 8-8, then I went and rode TT2 after work. From 11-1 we had the holiday party for the Merchandise department. I went with Jaden and Mikaylah, and we had a good time. I saw so many people from both Area 1 and Area 3, and I also got to pie my manager Brenden, since I won the raffle. It was a good time.
Today I am also seeing Spider-Man with Nate and Jill. I am super excited, since I love the movies. Today is going to be an easy day.
July 31st, 2026. 10:07 PM
The new Spider-Man movie was good. There are a lot of themes that I strongly relate to currently, and it doesn't sit 100% right with me. I won't go into details yet, I worry I will spoil the movie for someone since it has just come out. Overall, it was good.
Nate has been distant again, and I worry. They insist its ok, but its starting to hurt me. I don't know how to bring it up since I don't want to seem like a clingy or needy person, but it really does hurt me a lot.
Tomorrow I open Shores, and I am also going to go see Hadestown with Nate. It will be fun. With this also being the last post for July, here's to good and fun August!
