Cedar Point Shores

Summer 2026
June 29th, 2026 would be the beginning of my time as a Retail Supervisor at Cedar Point Shores. What was originally an incredibly scary change in my day to day Job, turned into the most fun I had working this summer. From A1 to A3, getting drive certified, and all the different things I learned while out there, Summer 2026 shaped out to be much different then Summer 2025.
Being moved from Point Plaza to Cedar Point Shores during both the hottest week of the year, and the 4th of July week, was a very great combo. I was introduced to my team, who had all been there since the beginning of the season. I was nervous, and also very hot and sweaty.

Working the 4th of July, I got to see the coolest thing ever from Shores, skydivers over Cedar Point. I managed to snap a picture of them while Magnum passed, which was one of the coolest things I ever saw.
4th of July

As July marched on, I learned how Shores worked, and I begin to be reminded of Wildwater Kingdom, the water park I visited growing up. I got to know my team, Nadesha, Shaun, Eric, Vanessa, Carlos, Maxwell, Yamil, Mattias, Arianna, Benja, and my Co-sups Tash and Will. We all worked together, and we began to have fun times together, even with the 12 hour shifts in the blazing sun.

Entering August, all of my team's hard work would be recognized. The Sandals team got location of the week! I was proud to see how their hard work earned them so much praise from management. To celebrate, I gave the team a high-5, as a reward for their hard work.

August would be when our days would begin to slow, and our days would go from closing at 7 to closing at 6. We all began to have fun, and we would hang out together at ride nights. All of us had a great bond, and I began to love my team for working so well together.
Location of the week!

As August came to a close, we began to say goodbye to eachother as my internationals began to go home for the summer. Tash and Vanessa were the first to go, and as that day creeped closer I was very sad to say goodbye.

To celebrate the end of summer, Tash had the idea of having a going away party at Thirsty Pony. As we all recalled the many funny events during the summer, and we said our goodbyes, I was very sad that Vanessa, and Tash, were leaving. We all had a good time, and I told the team they were the best team I could have ever asked for.

The team I had made the summer fun. They were all very strong workers, who could think on their feet, even when they were confused. I would recommend all of them for future adventures, because they all are very good team members.
Going away party

One thing I did throughout my mornings opening or evenings closing, I would take pictures of the waterpark, or of the rides. I attached a few below, feel fre to take a look.
