Entering the fall of 2026, Nate would invite me to come along with them to visit their family at home in Gilroy, California. During our visit, Nate would take me to see many differnet sites around their home, including Gilroy Gardens and a return visit to California's Great America.
The evening of September 9th, Nate and I would leave Sandusky and make our way to Cleveland Hopkins, to fly out to San Jose, California. The flight to Chicago was smooth, with minimal issues. We got recommened some Mac and Cheese by someone else on the plane, so we went to get some. We had a slight hiccup with it, but in the end we got it before continuing on to San Jose. We made it on time, and went to Nate's house after to go to bed.
Thursday came and Nate had a haircut scheduled in the morning. After that, we went to Togo's for sandwhiches. I really liked my pastrami, it was the best I have ever had. After, we went to the Winchester Mystery House. The tour was very cool, and after we went to Dinner with friends of Nate's family. It was Habatchi, and it was very fun.
Friday, we had an easy morning, and went to Lunch at Mama Mia's, where I met Bri and Landon. Landon is only 14 months old, and he wasn't very thrilled about me. After, we took a nap and went Bowling. Nate's dad beat us, I got second. Grandma Sue and Nate's mom where behind me, and Nate got last. After Bowling, we wnet to bed.
Saturday, we went to Black Bear Diner for breakfast, before heading to Gilroy Gardens. We spent all day at Gilroy Gardens, seeing the gardens, and riding some rides. Afterwards, we had burgers at Bri's house.
Sunday we went to Califronia's Great America. We rode many rides before I had to head back to Cleveland. During my travels back, I would get stranded in Vegas. What should have been a 1 hour layover, turned into a 7 hour layover with a delay, and a pilot timeout. I made it back Monday morning at 1pm.
This trip was so much fun. I got to meet so many of Nate's family and friends, and I got to see the sites and sounds of Gilroy, California. If I could change one thing, I would have one more day to see some of Nate's favorite places. Overall, it was fun, and I enjoyed my trip way out there.
