My Thoughts - October 2026

Happy Spooky Season! Crazy how it is already October!

With it finally being October, we are getting closer and closer to the end of the 2026 Cedar Point season, and the Twenty One Pilots concert I am going to. Nate is excited for the concert, and I am excited to go with them. I want to take Nate to Schmidt's and hopefully Kennywood. It will be a good time.

I work today, 11-4, and have class afterwards. I might go to the park for a bit to ride TT2, Magnum, and Steel Vengeance. With who is the question, since I think Nate will stay home to do homework. Here's to a fun October!

Yesterday was a weird day, with classes in the morning, and closing resorts in the evening. Class was rather boring, but I did learn a couple interesting things. Work was long, and I don't think I like closing. I work again today,, from 2-2. It'll be long, but I got this.

In website news, I have FINALLY finished transcripting my old videos. You can now view the 2022 videos, or other years HERE. I am very happy I finally finished this rather large project, and at some point I will go back and make them more readable.

Nate and I went to Cleveland to visit Costco, and Brandywine Falls. It was a very lovely fall day driving around Cuyahoga Valley National Park. I wish we had more time, but we did have our Law class at 4:30 to make. While we were at the falls, a nice lady took our picture with the falls. Its my new favorite picture of us.

While driving home from Cleveland, I had the idea to make a new webpage. I decided to make a page for my kitty cats! I thought it was a crime to not have any mention of my cats on my site, so I made a whole page for them.

The Dollar General down the street has finally opened! Its been underconstruction since early summer (I think May?) and it opened Friday! I went down today between class with Nate, Luke, Josh, Abbey, Caroline, and Samah and we took a look. Its still in its shakedown (some shelves aren't fully stocked yet) but for the most part, it is a solid store. One drawback is that the hours are a little limited atm since staffing is slim. With this store finally opening it was really made living where I do very nice.

Jaden is in town this week, and she invited me and the other Supervisors over. I'm very excited, since I was worried I would not get to see her at all, minus the 10 or so minutes at work this past weekend. Hopefully, if all goes to plan, I will get another digicam pic for the blog.

Yesterday was awfully fun, in so many ways. After waking up, I was gleefully notified that class was cancelled. This prompted all of us who weren't working, (Luke, Josh, Caroline, and Ronan) to make an impromtu trip to Grandpa's Cheese Barn. If you're unfamiliar with the place, you can read about it HERE. We bought a lot of cheese (and sweets) and we had a good time.

After I got home I went to a birthday party with Nate. It was for someone Nate knew, and I had a good time. Leo was there, and we had a great conversation. Once we left the party we had charcuterie night, using the spoils from the GCB trip. We watched Norbit while we enjoyed the many cheeses, meats, and crackers. My favorite was a Pesto Basil sheep's milk cheese. It was so good.

Classes have been going decently so far. I am doing OK balancing class and work, but I feel lost in my accounting class. We're nearing the end of week 2 for class, and I have 2 assignments to do tonight/friday night/saturday night. I will try to get them done ontime. I am still working on what I should do for the off season, but a few ideas/opportunities have come up. As for now, no cruise control at the moment, but we're not sinking.

Today was shitty. 45k+ at the park was strangely not the problem. It was when I locked my keys in the car at Castaway Bay right as I was clocking out.

Occasionally, when it is very busy on point, I will leave at about 8pm and take my car down to break Castaway Bay, and leave after. I have done this a couple times without issue, but today I hit a snag. I failed to secure my keys to my belt before I locked my car. This meant that I was locked out. Of course I didn't realize this until AFTER I clocked out for the day. My mom was initially not very helpful, instead mocking me over the situation since my FOB hasn't worked since August 2025. After I contacted the roadside assistance from my insurance. The second problem was that I had an exam due at midnight. I wrote to my professor, begging for an extension. Since it was 10pm, no response. Problem 3. "why not get your spare?" you may ask. Dear reader. Audrey is out of town, currently in NY. I had no choice but to wait since I had no access to my specific apartment.

I had to wait about an hour, but in the end, I succeeded with getting my car back, and getting home. The gentleman who came to my rescue was very kind, and he had a dog. I sadly didn't catch the name, but meeting such a friendly dog made me feel better.

Workwise, it was busy. I was at Hotel Breakers all morning, and we had a line for nearly 2 hours. After, I had to take care of breaks, and fix an inventory issue. Traffic was bad, took an hour to get back on point. I also took a small trip with Charlotte around the park, learning some stuff that will be important for later. I also helped out in A4 today (Fontier Town) which was fun, but crowded. After my final checks on point, Nate took me to my car and I left for Castaway Bay. This leads us to the above story.

I am very tired now, I am going to go to bed and rest before the rainy day tomorrow.

Recently, as you may know, I have taken the time to make crude transcripts of my various Youtube videos over the years, covering most of my time in Highschool and entering College. With nearly 5 years of content (2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024) a lot of memories are "stored" in these videos. From Cedar Point trips, to Europe, and WDW, I documented a lot of my life from a rather turbulent time in my life.

2020 started with my Dad and Rachel starting the divorce process. She moved out, I was halfway through my freshman year of highschool. March 12th was the day that my life trajectory changed. I went from a young, hyper child-like teen, to the person I am today. The world began to shutdown for COVID-19. That was the last day of my childhood. That day I walked home from school with Sarah, who is now my ex-gf. At some point I may write about how she influenced my life, for the better. I will make it clear: We are ex's for a reason.

After going home, having dinner before drama club practice in the evening, I would say goodbye to my old life. It was the last day I ever saw Malcom, the last day I would have school with my friend Olivia, and the last day the world made sense. The world went dorment. I did online school, played Minecraft, talked to friends on discord, and kept in touch with Sarah.

Malcom died on May 28th, 2020. He killed himself. That was the day I realized the world was a real, breathing thing. COVID-19 changed the world, Malcom showed me just how real it was. He and Sarah were close, and Sarah was devistated. I tried to comfort her, but 15 year old me simply didn't have the capacity to do so. My life is a blur after that. Dad started dating Jen, I met Jaycee, I started sophomore year, and I just remember trying to get by. Of course things happened, such as the band costume night, and going to Shiloh Tennessee, but the world was a strange place at that time.

January 6th, 2021 was another turning point. I didn't pay attention to it at the time, but I realize now how much the US, and world politics, changed from that. COVID still impacted my schooling, and as I lived through spring 2021, Dad and Jen would take Nathan, Jaycee, and I on many adventures, and I would have some antics from that time. Once I got my Eagle officially in June 2021, the world began to feel normal again. COVID was still on our minds, but it was a thing.

Junior year I started CVCC, and I became very close with Lilia, Zoe, and Lucas. I would go on some antics with them, such as construction site tours, and bowling. Work and school kept me busy, but I know that Junior year was somewhat realistic. Dad and Jen broke up in December of 2021 (IIRC) and Life was still Chaotic. For reference, work was more of a stable place then home or school. Home was fine, just highschool and whatnot made that area complicated, while stocking shelves stays the same.

January 2022 I made a video time capsule, dated to release January 2027. It is now Octover 2026. The above paragraphs are a condensed retelling of events, and it isn't even a good recap. January 17th 2022 I was a Junior in Highschool, attending CVCC for architecture, and worked at Discount Drug Mart as a stock clerk. My CVCC friends were Lilia, Zoe, Lucas, and Jeremy. My highschool friends were Aidan, Alexis, and Gabby. I had no idea what I wanted to do after highschool. I had broken up with Sarah in March 2021 in a rather immature way. I lost touch with Jaycee after Dad and Jen broke up. But I was a resilient little thing. I worked hard, and I was full of ideas. I don't remember what I put in the video time capsule, and to be honest, I am scared and excited to see it.

The biggest thing I wonder is would January 2022 Alex be proud of 2027 Alex? I don't know. He certainly didn't expect for me to live with a woman in college, he also certainly didn't think he would realize he's bisexual, and date Nate. but would he be proud of who I am? I don't know. I only know that he would be glad to know Rachel is gone, and Dad remarried to someone so wonderful as Steph.

When the video capsule pubished on January 17th, 2027, I will make a post on the site about it. I even plan to make a Youtube video discussing it. I will also probably make one for the next 5 years, and possibly next 10. These are choices I will make when I am not so tired, and when I am not thinking about the upcoming changes in my life.
